If you are a young person (13–21 ) living in New York City, you carry stories that no one else can tell. Some of them might be heavy — about school pressure, mental health, identity, family, money, or immigration. Some might be beautiful or funny or creative.
In a world where you are constantly watched, rated, and compared, it can feel unsafe to say how you really feel. New York Youth Speaks was created to be the opposite of that: a quiet corner where you can speak honestly, safely, and anonymously.
You do not have to be a “writer” or use perfect English. You just have to be honest. Your story might help someone else feel less alone, and that matters more than any filter.
